Terms of Use

Last updated 24 October 2026

By using diskurso.ph you agree to what follows. It is short on purpose.

Who may use the site

What you post

You keep ownership of your arguments. By posting them you give us a non-exclusive licence to display them on the site and in search results. You confirm that what you post is your own work.

Write your own arguments. This site exists so students practise forming and defending their own positions. Pasting in AI-generated arguments defeats the point and is grounds for removal.

What is not allowed

The house rules go into more detail on what a good argument looks like.

Moderation

Readers can report any argument. Moderators review reports and may remove content or suspend accounts. When an argument is removed its text is erased but the slot stays in the thread, so the replies that answered it still make sense.

Certain words are automatically censored when posted. Getting around the filter deliberately is itself a breach of these terms.

We may remove content or accounts without notice where the breach is serious. For anything less serious we will normally warn first.

Debate topics

Only administrators open debates. Students may suggest a topic, and an administrator decides whether it makes a fair debate. Suggesting a topic does not guarantee it will be posted.

Your account

You may delete your arguments at any time, and you may ask us to delete your account through the contact page. Your username is permanent once chosen, because other debaters cite it.

Availability

The site is provided as is. We do not promise it will always be available or free of faults, and we are not liable for loss arising from using it or being unable to use it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Advertising

We show advertisements supplied by Google AdSense. We do not control which ads appear and an ad is not an endorsement. See the privacy policy for how advertising cookies work.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
